Of note, Golesh apparently was really impressive from each of the kids I've talked to and the defensive kids really liked Coach Orlando as well. Coach Da Prato was there and helped with DuBuc's visit touring him around again and spending time with his family. Carter and DuBuc in particular told me how impressed they were with how things were run and the plan that coach Golesh has for USF and his vision and plan to execute that. The indoor was also something everyone touched on being a standout part of the visit.

HOOPS Selton Miguel...

...returned to practice earlier this week.

Miguel missed Friday's win over Charleston Southern due to "the flu," according to CBG during Friday's post game presser.

In his last 4 games Miguel is averaging 14.3 points, 5.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.

He has made 8-of-24 (33.3%) three-pointers.

Last season at K-State, Miguel made 8-of-39 threes in 26 games.

HOOPS DJ Patrick...

...took part in Friday's practice. Patrick has not played since starting against Austin Peay on Nov. 17

It is the same ankle that Patrick injured last year during the pre season which had him in a boot for a while and caused him to miss The Secret scrimmage against FGCU.

Will he be able to play Monday?

I do not know.

A lot will depend on how that ankle feels Saturday morning and what type of work he is able to do when they practice on Saturday and on Sunday and then how the ankle feels on Monday.

Andrew Warsaw - Associate Athletic Director / Chief of Staff @USFFOOTBALL

Andrew Warsaw, who owns 11 years of Power 5 and NFL operations experience, enters his third season as the director of football operations at Tennessee.

Warsaw manages the football program’s budget, coordinates travel and manages the day-to-day operations of the football building.

Warsaw came to Tennessee after spending the 2018 and 2019 seasons as the assistant athletic director for football operations at Mississippi State, where he managed and balanced the program's annual eight-figure operating budget and coordinated the daily and yearly football schedule.

Warsaw's other responsibilities included handling all phases of team travel and serving as the football program's liaison between the university, the athletic department and the Southeastern Conference. During his time at Mississippi State, Warsaw also played a major role in the planning and execution of the program's three bowl appearances -- 2017 TaxSlayer Bowl, 2019 Outback Bowl and 2019 Music City Bowl – as well the execution of numerous facility projects in the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex.

Warsaw joined the Bulldogs in December 2017 and had previously served as the NFL’s director of game operations since December 2016. The Olney, Maryland, native coordinated team logistics and travel for international games as well as the Super Bowl. Warsaw oversaw all game day policies during the season and was based out of the league’s New York headquarters.

Prior to joining the NFL, Warsaw spent two seasons as the director of football operations at Purdue (2015-16) and three seasons as the operations coordinator at Arizona (2013-15). His duties included day-to-day operations, travel coordination, player personnel and recruiting logistics.

Warsaw also worked at Fordham (2012-13), the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (2011-12), Penn and Villanova. Penn was the 2010 Ivy League champions while he was there, and Villanova won the 2011 FCS national championship.

A 2009 graduate of West Virginia University, he spent four seasons as a student manager with the Mountaineers, helping to plan and prep for the 2006 Fiesta Bowl and the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Warsaw resides in Knoxville with his wife, Ashley, and their three children - Aiden, Landon and Eli.

NIL question

With the way kids are loading into the portal this year and bowl games being more meaningless than most years. I would assume could also impact playoff teams and especially once the field grows to 12.

With that said do you think there will be a way to say have a contract like if you take this NIL $ you can’t transfer? Or you can’t transfer for two years etc? Just thinking out loud…where is this all headed?

FOOTBALL Potential WR coach for USF

Hearing that Alex Golesh may have hired Marcus Davis from Georgia Southern.

He is a former Auburn player, considered a fast-rising coach in the coaching ranks. Played and worked at Auburn and then Hawaii before GaSouthern. Younger guy. He also GA'd for Mike Norvell at FSU in 2020.
