Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades the South Florida Bulls performance at Navy.

STORY

....there is a path for USF to make the CFP in either 2024 or 2025 because:

• With the CFP staying at a 6+6 model, two G5 teams can make the playoffs
• A weak AAC is a lesser gauntlet than in years past
• Think of what Golesh might be able to do with a bowl game, extra practice and an entire recruiting cycle

I'm not saying it will happen but a window is open.

Rivals is set to release an update to the Rivals150 for the class of 2024 today, most likely at Noon ET. Monday Rivals released its Top-10 Countdown for the 2024 class update. You can read all about that HERE.

SPOILER ALERT: USF priority target Karter Knox will slide down from his No. 6 ranking to a spot out of the top-10. As for USF point guard commit CJ Brown, could debut in the Rivals150 but I don't know how good his chances are for that. I know that he was just outside of the Rivals150 in the June update.

Thought it would be interesting to track which freshmen have burned their redshirt already and/or may do so later in the year as the season progresses:

- Jarvis Lee (Curious if the staff will utilize him more on defense later in the year. Has played mostly special teams thus far.)

UAB has an annual football game called the Children’s Harbor Game in which the Blazers honor patients from the Children’s Hospital located on UAB’s campus. The press conference begins with a woman from the hospital talking for almost two minutes. I cued up the video after she finished. Coach Dilfer became quite emotional in his opening comments.

They also called out USF fans for giving Matt Baker a hard time about going to UCF to cover their Big 12 opener.

Until USF athletics can win over the casual fan, this is the uphill clinb we will face with the local media.

No doubt Alex Golesh is one of the top coaches in the game today. I'm going to add Duke's Head Coach Mike Elko in there too. Very similar to CAG in his communication skills.

I heard him use a great expression on Saturday before the ND game. Turnovers are created, they just don't happen.

There are a lot of coaches with hype. Dabo Sweeney seems to used to be a good coach, but his ego getting in front of NIL has pretty much put them potentially out of the Elite 10 programs.

There are just so many that win simple because they outspend teams, especially in the SEC and Big10. It doesn't mean they are elite in the game by any means.

Gotta love how all the fans at these blue bloods and wanna be blood blood universities are in shock be the recruiting of USF and CAAR getting these top players to at least take a look, sometimes a very serious look, at USF. I love the fact that those fans are talking sh*t about the Bulls. Living rent free in their heads is funny.

I am one of those guys that thought talent should win over good coaching but man I am completely flabbergasted of what’s going on in these 5 games! We literally lost our two best players by far on offense and we are considerably better. It’s amazing! I don’t even have enough good things to say about our coaching staff right now! I think we are are gonna win out and I haven’t felt this great about USF football in years. Enjoy the ride boys because it’s only gonna get better. Go Bulls!
