James Madison NY6

Curious what people think about the case of James Madison. I don't really see why a team that is new to the FBS should be barred from participating in a bowl or the NY6 if they are the best. If anything, the NCAA should be marketing them as a Cinderella story.

Also, Jordan McCloud is having a phenomenal season for them- 69.9% passing, 2,800 yards, 9.4 yards per attempt, 26:7 TD:INT, plus 310 rushing yards and 6 TDs. Omarion Dollison has one catch for a 54 yard TD- not sure if he's hurt.

HOOPS Reid Named AAC Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas (November 13, 2023) – The American Athletic Conference announced its first weekly honors for men’s basketball Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week on Monday. Jayden Reid represented the University of South Florida men’s basketball team with a Freshman of the Week accolade after a stellar debut for the Bulls.

Reid recorded a double-double in his first collegiate game with 11 points and 10 assists. He also tied for a game-high five rebounds. He was dishing out dimes for most of the contest, which included a pass that led the SportsCenter No. 1 play of the night on Thursday. On the opposite of the court, he helped a stout defense hold South Carolina State to zero made 3-pointers (0-18). It is only the third time in history that the Bulls held an opponent to zero 3-point field goals. The last time was March 3, 2019, against UConn.

Next Up

South Florida returns to the court on Wednesday, November 15, as Central Michigan makes the trip to Tampa. The Bulls and Chippewas are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip on ESPN+.

AAC championship scenarios

My eyeball test has Tulane v SMU. Both of those teams play good D with a slight edge towards the Green Wave (very slight). They can both score a lot of points in a hurry. A lot of speed on both sides of the ball for both teams. SMU's backfield looks to be deeper than Tulane's. The receivers are pretty even.

Tulane faces UTSA on Friday 11-24. I think the Green Wave D will tilt the game for Tulane. Should be a Hell of a game.

SMU travels to Memphis on 11-18. These two teams are loaded on both sides of the ball. SMU may have a stronger D. Barn burner!!

Our Bulls may have something to say about things when they travel to UTSA on Friday 11-17.

Beat Temple!!!
