Orlando Antigua watched Kobie Eubanks Wed Afternoon

After cutting his list to ten, then adding UCLA as the 11th school, Elev|8 Sports Institute SG Kobie Eubanks was to go on an official visit to Oregon.

I was just told that he didn't visit Oregon as planned, due to
"him having a game and scheduling" issues. He is now scheduled to visit Oregon Jan. 22nd, the
day they play USC. Presumably he'll arrive Thursday and leave on
Saturday but I haven't confirmed that.

Meanwhile I did confirm that UCLA and Georgia are coming on strong with Eubanks.

CFB Subcommittee will recommend 3rd December week Early Signing Period

Looks like it will be recommended for June and most likely pass, and it will coincide with existing juco signing period. Most of the top programs in state FSU, Florida, and Miami will be filled up by this signing day, and the number of transfers out of programs is expected to increase dramatically as head and position coaching changes affect signers after early December signing day and early regret increases.

This will change the way USF recruits dramatically as the committee wants to open up spring and summer and fall access for coaches to recruits, in season recruiting and official visits will be huge going forward for USF and all football programs which they haven't in the programs history.

The Current 2015 Class Only Recruits Of Note Are Marlon Gonzalez AND Khalid Mcgee both could be locked up in December if the signing period was in place for this recruiting class.

New 2016 Offer

Goes out to Oak Ridge DB, Cycoby Burch. It's his first offer.

I also don't know if it was mentioned on this board or not but 2016 player, Hussein Howe Jr. was extended an offer the other day as well. He's close friends with current 2016 USF commit Armunz.

USF/Tulsa 11am on Saturday

Reminder of the home game on Sat and it's an early start for TV. Also, I am sure that with the big recruiting weekend they will be taking the football recruits to the game. Would be good if we had good attendance.

Frank Haith is their coach after moving over from Missouri. They also just beat Temple on the road last weekend.

Why doesn't Willie Taggart hire his WKU rb coach local Marquel Blackwell?

Marquel Blackwell might be the greatest player of all time at USF, has deep roots and recruiting connections with coaches and players in Tampa, has experience as running backs coach at WKU with Taggart, was director of player personnel at USF with Taggart. He's the Lakewood High School Offensive Coordinator.

Who better to sell USF recruiting as RB coach than him? I don't understand why Taggart refuses to hire him on the coaching staff, but instead hires the miami ohio rb coach. Would be the perfect hire to help bring talent from Tampa Bay as he is one of the most respected local coaches in the area.

Videos to share

USF Basketball: Going Home with Chris Perry Cool little video about Chris and where he grew up. I love what this athletic department is doing. Giving us vision into the lives of the players. Letting us see more to the players especially on the football field where the face isn't as visual because of the helmets. It lets fans put a face and persona to the names.

Preseason softball video I know this video isn't much but it's more of a reminder that softball and baseball are both approaching. I'm super ready to see how softball does this year. I'm a huge fan of Eriksen and I look forward to see what he puts on the field this year. This team is going to be a different animal without Sara Nevins who is probably the best softball pitcher USF has ever seen but I trust Eriksen to handle the team and get them playing the way they need to. Baseball, I haven't been watching a lot recently because Lelo was still in charge but I look forward to tuning back in this year to see Kingston at work. Love our defense coming in but I worry about the bats.

USF LB Coach Raymond Woodie interviewing for Arkansas LB position

Looks like only recently promoted Co Offensive Coordinator and QB coach David Reeves, Tight End and Special Teams Coach Stu Holt, DUI LINEMAN coach Eric Mathies will be the only remaining coaches left with the program if Raymond Woodie leaves.

Replacing Bucs DB Associate Head Coach Ron Cooper with High School DB coach Alonzo Hampton and Telly Lockette with Miami of Ohio coach rb coach Autrey Denson.

Jim Harris
I tweeted last night about a LB coach with deep Florida recruiting ties in Bret Bielema's sights. Here's the answer: http://t.co/mqJUY14hDL

2017 Forward has Bulls attention

According to Windermere Prep assistant coach Brad Augustine, USF assistant Sergio Rouco reaches out to him fairly regularly to see how 6-foot-9 forward Corbin Merritt is doing. Augustine also mentioned that Florida and Florida State are also frequently in touch with him about Merritt. In fact, Merritt took an unofficial visit to FSU November 8th which included attending their football game.

Merritt is a solid prospect but didn't play particularly well on Saturday in limited action at the Showdown in O-Town. After the game he told me that he forgot to bring his contact lenses which Augustine confirmed.

He had a very good game against Zion Lutheran in the Kreul Classic, where he even blocked a couple of Florida commit Keith Stone's shots.

Greg's Blog about WRs

In his blog today Greg was talking about the improvement at the WR position. Actuall I think we'll have a very exciting offense this year. A lot of explosiveness from anywhere on the field.

Hopefully the problems at receiver (the drops and poor routes)the past couple of years have been a function of youth and inexperience. As a unit, they are still pretty young, but they have tons of athleticsm and a lot of experience.

Whoever is at QB should have plenty of solid weapons this year which will open up a lot of options and take the pressure off the QB. Perhaps we can actually use the spread as it was designed.

Let's hope!
