This Zoom was on Wednesday but I had a schedule conflict and couldn't attend. I got the video this evening and transcribed it.

STORY
Our friend Leo wasn't too bad today but he literally asked the below question after Coach Gordon answered another question by saying they are taking what the defense is giving them.

Leo: "This offense isn't a one trick pony. You've got five guys rushing the football. You got eight guys catching the football. Just like you said, whatever is working you're gonna go to correct?"

Also Leo: Coach, my last question, thank you for your time today. I was talking to Jake P. Peterson, about and an hour ago, and Peter Blank asked me when did Brown start to make the big change to step up?

At least Leo didn't start off a question by quoting Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, or stating that his Parish Priest asked him about USF or his Oncologist asked him about USF. So, there's that.

I'm sure we're all aware of how Puka Nacua is tearing up the NFL early on. I've had three or four people ask me where Puka Nacua came from. I've told them that USF fans are all too familiar as he burned us for a TD on an end around on the first play of the season last year. It's so fun to be able the wrap up the story with "but we don't suck anymore!"

The Bulls game against Loyola-Chicago, previously scheduled to be a neutral site game, and part of the Hoopsgiving event, will now be played at Yuengling Center on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. on streamed ESPN+.

My wife and I are going. We know Birmingham pretty well. Son went to BAMA and graduated there two years ago.

This could make things interesting.

Bryant also holds offers from FSU, UCF, Illinois, DePaul, UNLV, Iowa and Washington. He took an unofficial visit to Colorado last weekend but the Buffaloes have not offered yet.

I watched "How Willie Fritz made Tulane football great again".

The first thing I noticed is Fritz and Golesh as well as their staffs have the same exact philosphy. Be what you say you are or adios amigo. Love your players and teach them to love each other. Golesh changes lockers for his players so they become acquainted with each other. Fritz also places a great emphasis on being friends off the field as well as on the field. Both are tough on their demands, but show love for their effort even if they fail. Failure is a teacher.

Player interviews were awesome. Michael Pratt is a very bright young man. I would love to see him in Pewter next April. I have liked Pratt from the first time I saw him play and he has only gotten better each year, each game. Charisma, humility and ability are hard to beat. The Green Wave weight lifting program is intense. Guys who want to be something and are willing to work their butts off for it.

Fritz's belief in signing home town players has paid off and increased game attendance. The Tulane players are rock stars in Nawlins. They handle it humbly and thankfully. CAG wants to put a fence around Tampa Bay. Real coaches don't hang out where they used to coach, they hang out where they coach.

The other thing you notice is how good these two men are inside. They are driven, but they don't sell their players out. Both make it clear that their players have to make the cut to get the love and discipline they need to be their best self. Not just on the field, but in the classroom and the community.

....there is a path for USF to make the CFP in either 2024 or 2025 because:

• With the CFP staying at a 6+6 model, two G5 teams can make the playoffs
• A weak AAC is a lesser gauntlet than in years past
• Think of what Golesh might be able to do with a bowl game, extra practice and an entire recruiting cycle

I'm not saying it will happen but a window is open.
