“I could have easily gone to another D2 (school) or smaller D1 school and be the man, take a lot of shots and lose, but I'm over that part of my career,” Perry said. “We all have one common goal. I'm just ready to end it off with a bang.”
But following the season, head coach Orlando Antigua dismissed him for an unspecified rules violation.
“It was just me being young and dumb not making the right decisions,” said Perry. “I could have handled stuff a lot better. After coach Stan Heath got fired, I felt like I was on an island.”
“The winning feeling, it's going to be new in college, but I definitely know the winning feeling,” he said with a laugh. “I need to get one year of winning under my belt before I get out of here.”
