After Pryor knocked down a 3-pointer, the Owls answered with back-to-back 3-pointers of their own. Chris Youngblood drained a 3-pointer and cut the deficit to two points, 46-44, with 12:46 left on the clock.

Temple went on a 9-2 run and extended its lead to nine points, 55-46, with 9:29 left in regulation. Youngblood capped off a USF 5-2 run and cut the deficit to six, 57-51 with just under eight minutes left on the clock.

The Bulls were resilient and went on a 13-6 run. Jayden Reid drained a 3-pointer to give USF a 64-63 lead with 4:19 left in regulation. South Florida picked up the intensity on the defensive end and limited Temple to just five points from the field over the final 4:06 of play. The Bulls outscored the Owls 11-6 to close out the half. Corey Walker Jr. came up with a big dunk to put USF on top 70-67. The Bulls claimed their fourth-straight come-from-behind win with a 75-69 victory.

HOOPS "I owe you an apology. I wasn’t really familiar with your game"

Kasean Pryor "The plastic man" as I like to call him had himself a game that hasn't been seen in College Basketball, never mind a Bulls player, since 2008.

On Jan. 4 in a thread I said that this guy was our best all around player and a couple of board favorites through that was crazy because Miguel, Reid, and Youngblood are better. Well while those guys are good, they are not the all around player Pryor is, and this game he showed why that is. So just as Shaq has famously said a few times, Pryor's doubters should say the same thing, "I owe you an apology. I wasn’t really familiar with your game"

HOOPS Around the American (Jan. 15 - 21)

Three pretty good games on the slate today in the American:

UAB (10-5) at #24 Florida Atlantic (12-4), 12:00pm (ESPN+)
#13 Memphis (14-2) at Wichita State (8-7), 1:00pm (espn2)
Tulane (10-5) at Tulsa (9-6), 3:00pm (ESPN+)

Here are my AAC rankings heading into Sunday's action:

NCAAT Bound

1. Memphis (14-2, 3-0); NET Ranking: (#50)
- Tigers are 4-0 against AP Top 25 teams and have 2 Quad 1 wins. Memphis has won 9 straight, but 8 of those are by single digits; David Jones (21.0 ppg) leads the AAC in scoring and is 8th is steals (1.9 spg) and 10th in rebounding (6.9 rpg)

2. Florida Atlantic (12-4, 2-1); NET (#23) - Owls have been wobbling, losing 2 of their last 4, but have 2 Quad 1 wins; 2 of FAU's last 4 games are against Memphis

On the Bubble

3. SMU (10-5, 2-1); NET (#38)
- Mustangs have a strong NET Ranking despite no signature wins and only having 1 Quad 1/Quad 2 win; SMU has FAU and Memphis four days apart in February and will likely need to win both to get on the right side of the bubble

NIT Bound

4. North Texas (10-5, 3-0); NET (#60)
- The Mean Green have been sneaky good this year and winners of their last five; 3 of North's Texas' 5 losses have come by a single point

Post Season Possible

5. Charlotte (9-7, 3-1): NET (#106) - Winners of 3 straight including a 2 point win at home against FAU, the 49ers have 6 players averaging between 7 and 13 ppg, and don't have any player that ranks in the Top 15 in scoring, rebounding or assists except for Igor Milicic, Jr who is 4th in the conference in rebounding

6. Tulane (10-5, 1-2); NET (#103) - The Greene Wave are slipping and losers of 3 of their last 5, but they are #2 nationally is shooting percentage (51.3%) and have 4 starters who are shotting 53% or better from the field

Middle of the Pack
