Amari McNeill

McNeill, a former three-star recruit who signed with UT a month before Jeremy Pruitt was fired, played sparingly in 2021 and 2022 and he didn't have a clear path to playing time in 2023.

McNeill can play on the defensive line or the offensive line. He shouldn't have any problems finding a new home.

While losing McNeill hurts the Vols' depth (he reportedly had a solid spring), Tennessee is still in good shape along the defensive line.

Wide Receiver Concern

With Simmons, Terry, Brown, Jones all sitting out of the spring game? Are you concerned about their health for the fall? Also, are you concerned about wide receiver depth? Especially now with Ajou hitting the transfer portal. How much of an impact do you think the incoming freshman receivers, Jaylen Johnson, JeyQuan Smith, Keshaun Singleton, and Tyree Kelly, going to have to have on this upcoming season?

OCS Listening Session

I am starting to warm up to the idea of an OCS. A "listening session" held by USF leadership last week allowed select students and donors to provide input. Many students indicated they want inclusivity and Kelly stated that USF athletics is a diverse community and the OCS would create opportunities to include everyone.

It sounded like most suggestions were geared towards food options, transportation to and from the game, inclusivity, an on site restaurant that could double for away game watching but was short on establishing new traditions.

Interesting read here.
