Jordan Woods angle is that is his family likes the school and Taggart a lot. The proximity to home is a huge deal for him. Miami is keeping him warm in case they need a late DE but they are pretty loaded. I still think it is a GT-USF battle there.
USF staff is very high on both Frank Johnson and LaDarrius Jackson and I’ve heard that they think Johnson has a chance to be a special players.
Andre Polk will have a signing on Thursday at his school, he can’t sign his LOI until Feb, but he will be on campus next week to start school.
Offensive line wise, the staff is in good shape with what they have, Grayson Stover still probably ends up at USF, the Bulls have kind of slow played him some, but he will commit if they push for him.
USF still working on some JUCO OLs including Mike Arnold who is not solid with FSU. There is one other JUCO guy in the works in this group and one to two grad transfers who are interested, stay tuned…
DT wise, this is an area where you could see a transfer in. If they don’t get one, look for USF to take a flier on Jarrod Hewitt from Venice HS. He would need to transform his body some, but there is some skill there.
DB wise still working on Craig Watts, KJ Sails and a few other targets.
TEAM
While WR has been a big area of concern for fans going forward the Bulls staff think the best WR on the team couldn’t play this year. Marquez Valdes-Scantling should slide right into the starting lineup next year. He has really impressed everyone with his hands and ability. They feel like he is going to be a game changer for the offense next year.
Glen Bethel, Trevon Sands, Jackson and Johnson are all slated to be in next week. DT Derrick Calloway is progressing towards a return this summer, he still has work to take care of though.
As far as push rush ends go, the staff is really high on Greg Reaves and he could be a rotation guy this fall if he keeps progressing.
OL Reilly Gibbons had another serious injury and is out indefinitely.
