A lot has been going on at USF as they've hosted an increasingly impressive array of CFB targets over the last few weeks. Golesh and his family are very happy at USF. Having lived in Ames, IA, Stillwater, OK, Toledo, OH and other less-than-ideal places they would prefer to build up USF and that is why he turned down interviews this last cycle when some schools approached him per my sources. Like I think Golesh would turn down UF if offered IMO when Billy Napier gets fired eventually (most likely this offseason). A lot of the P5 jobs are pretty miserable right now because of NIL and boosters feeling like they have control over the program and can open and close the taps to the money at their whims. This comes from tons of coaches I know and explains also why CAAR would like to stick around too.

ADMK is trying to position USF as we all know for an invite should the ACC need to expand or some other opportunity open up. It will eventually be a matter of next year, four years or whatever when it opens. USF would likely end up in a conference a little better than the old Big East if things go down like I expect them to which would be on par with the Big XII in football and some other sports but probably not men's basketball.

Everyone wants to know how spring is going. A year ago the coaches literally had to teach the players who to practice, how to give proper effort, how to do things like thud where you don't tackle players or avoiding hitting the QB when the QB isn't going to be live in spring ball. The team looks bigger and stronger than a year ago. The OL is still a work in progress and the D still needs work as well, but they are very good at skill on offense led by Bryum Brown.

That was Golesh's biggest recruiting win this offseason. Brown was getting seven-figure offers from P4 teams and the staff worked their tails off to fend off poachers despite Brown not even being in the portal. It is the Wild F-ing West right now. The family has stayed true to their word as has Golesh and Brown is getting decent NIL from USF, but he made the decision to stay because of his love for USF and wanting to be a part of turning things around.

The portal will likely be a shitshow when it reopens, but USF feel good about where they stand with their key guys heading into that with Brown secured to lead the way. That was a big show of faith in the staff as well.

I'll try to get more into personnel with a future update.

The one kid I expected to commit last week, has paused things as some new offers came in. Not sure if he is going to take some unofficial visits to his new offers first, but he at least didn't pop and then take visits. I am hopeful he pops before the weekend ends.

A visit to watch this weekend is

He is bringing his entire family for the first time to visit USF. I think if that goes well a commit would come next. Hewlett would also help recruit a top WR target and HS teammate Carl Jenkins to USF as well.
