Justin Vander Baan, a Massachusetts native who attends Whitinsville Christian in Whitinsville, Mass. He also holds offers from Boston College, Iona, East Carolina and Stetson. As best as I can tell, USF is VAnder Baan's first offer since his high school season began.
I confirmed the offer with Coach Vin Pastore, of the Mass Rivals (adidas sponsored) travel team this morning after seeing the following Tweet late last night:
I did not want to pull a "Nathan" so I wanted to confirm that the USF was South Florida and not San Francisco lol.
Upon seeing the offer, I watched a couple his games and thought he had good size and length. Needs some work but if he has a good work ethic, adds weight and is coachable he could be pretty good down the road.
Among the reporters who cover New England Prep basketball, Vander Baan is considered to have more untapped upside than anyone in New England in the 2020 class.
