I figured Tulsa would be close, I said earlier this week if there was an award for the best 1-4 team tulsa would get consideration.
I know the execution on offense, or at times the lack thereof, is the talk, but the defense deserves a lot of kudos. It gets brushed over but we held them to 295 total yards, zero yards in the 4th quarter, 3 sacks and 11 TFL. Pass coverage was sensational and the offense put them in tough spots several times.
Hats off to the staff. I am seeing playmakers emerge before my eyes. LaPointe looked lost against Gtech, last night he was all over the field, 9 tackles, 2 TFL, Sanders got the start over Wilkins and had a great game. Barber played his best game, Kierston johnson played well, Nick Roberts took some bad angles but played a great 4th quarter and is getting better by the minute.
The defense is really improving and really shows the chops of BJM, and CCS as defensive coaches. The offense is another matter, but defense is getting better after losing so much.
