Just a few quick nuggets from the men's basketball situation:
We're hearing that the independent review is ongoing. There was some chatter that it might wrap up yesterday (4/2) but our source says that is not the case. Tom Herrion remains on administrative leave. A source sent me a screen shot of Herrion's Twitter page and it looked like this:
However, when I went to his page it looked like this:
So, there could have been an issue with Twitter that removed the cover picture and turned it into a pink rectangle.
The HUGE question is whether or not CBG will be the Bulls head coach when the review is over. According to the source we spoke with today it could go either way withe CBG. However, earlier this week another source told us that "BG is good." Meaning CBG will remain as head coach once the review is completed.
CBG and his staff, most notably Larry Dixon, have been hard at work recruiting players in the transfer portal and some JuCo players. Denver transfer Sam Hines Jr and JuCo transfer DJ Patrick have already announced their commitment to transfer to USF. After talking with some players in the portal, and other sources, USF has some positive buzz and seems on the verge of getting two, possibly three, more commitments in the near future.
