Thursday
It all started last night when SMU went to Greenville and beat ECU in what was a defensive game until the 4th quarter. Both teams played tough defense but SMU's offense was better than ECU's.
Friday
Tonight is Ali vs Frazier when Tulane goes to Memphis. This game should be a slugfest between two top heavyweights. Henigan vs Platt will be fun to watch. These are arguably the best 2 teams in the West with SMU nipping at their heels.
Saturday
UAB travels to San Antonio to take on the Roadrunners. This game will be another barn burner. Both teams played tough out of conference schedules, so records are confusing.
FAU travels to Tampa to meet the Bulls. FAU is top rated defense efficiency and they have possibly the AAC's top RB in Larry McCammon. I'm holding my breath on this one. If the Bulls get the W they move from pretender to contender in the East.
The two Saturday games will go a long way towards separating the fly shit from the mustard seed. It looks like the strength of the AAC again lies in the West.
