Mostly recruiting but one team nugget.

The basketball team practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday, but will have Thursday off.

Head Coach Brian Gregory is expected at Heritage School on Thursday to visit with Ebenezer "Ebe" Dowuona. According to sources Gregory spoke with Dowuona, his guardian Nana Baafi, and Dowuona's host mom on Tuesday. Each call went very well according to the source.

Assistant Coach Scott Wagers is expected at Surge Christian (Clearwater, Fla.) Academy on Thursday. Surge Christian is a new school. Following a coaching change at Superior Collegiate Academy several kids transferred to Surge Christian so it is possible that Wagers is stopping by to introduce himself to the staff at Surge Christian and just see if they have anyone that would be a good fit at USF.

This weekend Assistant Coach Larry Dixon will head to Texas for the Mitchell/Mullen Dallas Blowout JuCo Jamboree which is happening Oct. 4-5.

Zack Dawson has returned to the court but is probably two weeks away from full contact activity. If you recall, Dawson had a bad knee sprain during a game in Canada. He rested his knee for two weeks when the team returned from Canada then began a rehab regime. The Bulls have a secret scrimmage against Florida, in Gainesville, on Oct. 19 but it is not clear if Dawson will play in that game.
