FOOTBALL RECRUITING Potential Tennessee Recruits From Tennessees Offer List...

USF may try to go after.

We can assume CAG is not going to go after any other RB's out there from UT's offer list. There are a few more but I wouldn't think Golesh is trying to tick off Heupel by trying to sign players UT really isn't on.

Their Offensive Line list has a player named...
Joe Cocker OT from Tennessee @ .8778 TOS....still AVAILABLE
Johnathan Slack OG from Michigan @ .8764 TOS...still AVAILABLE
Jordan Church OG from IMG Academy who is an FAU commit @ .8597 TOS

Some interesting Defensive Line names...
Will Whitson DL from Independence CC who has a USF offer @ .8450 TOS..still AVAILABLE
Travion Gadson DL from Savannah Ga @ .8781 TOS USF offer - Kentucky COMMIT
Adrian Griffin DL Alabama with Troy commitment @ .8581 TOS - Troy COMMIT
Cameron Lenhardt EDGE from IMG @ .9031 TOS....still AVAILABLE

More Linebacker names...
Brothers Andrew and Michael Harris - Altamonte Springs Michael .8916 Andrew .9031 both w/USF offers...both still AVAILABLE

FOOTBALL RECRUITING 7 Scholarship Spots Left?

... that number could absolutely be higher depending on the status of a handful of players, but I'm counting seven "open" spots as of now. Looks like the positions of need are still:

- WR
- RB (If the mindset is to replace both Joiner and Dukes who will be done after 2023)
- OL (I'm not sure if they add both Jenkins and the other kid who is currently committed to UTSA. It feels like they will take one more as they have really went after the position group this month)
- 3 DL (2 DTs and 1 DE. This will depend on whether they add two or three if they skip another position. Townley would be added as a DE with two inside guys needed)
- 2 LBs (Numbers there are starting to thin out with Grier to UCF and Boyles declaring for the draft)

I don't see a need for additions at QB, TE, or CB/S unless they really love someone.

TBT: What’s the NCAA transfer portal window like? ‘Insanity’

This is the new college football:

"Bielema said the three years (2018-20) he spent on NFL staffs helped him adjust his approach to roster management. He wants the Illini to build through college football’s version of the draft (high school recruiting) while adding spot players through the portal (free agency) to fill specific needs."

High school kids will need to be smarter about playing the "how many offers can I rack up game" and college players better think twice before jumping into the portal and winding in a worse situation --- and no degree opportunity.

Golesh's assistant pool makes a lot more sense under this new approach and investing $$$ and resources to a "personnel dept" will be critically important...especially for programs like us.

FOOTBALL RECRUITING Proof Alex Golesh is an A+ Recruiter if You Didn't Already Know

This past season he signed 8 commits. Only #2 JaJuan Sider with 9 for Penn State, #24 Tommie Rees with 13 from Notre Dame, #69 Wes Goodwin from Clemson with 9, and #77 Fontel Mines with 11 commits from Virginia Tech have signed more players this past year out of more than 300 plus assistant coaches.

Alex Golesh was #51 rated, with only two coaches in America rated better this past year.

Former GT commit, IMG kid would be a smart pickup. GT decided they wanted taller CBs so they parted ways.

Once a higher profile guy who Golesh is catching at the right time as the music stops in the musical chairs of RBs. Would be a huge pickup.

Cole's OV actually started on Thursday. Former Temple commit.
