Ryan Day wants to make USF’s Offense Illegal…

Day made it clear that he wants to see the hash marks changed.

"The hash marks," said Day. "I think those hash marks were built for football a long time ago. You know, I think like the NBA has made their adjustments. College (basketball) has made their adjustment -- they moved the three-point line. They've made adjustments. We haven't. And I think now, today, you know, with the type of athletes that we have, they're faster, they're bigger, they're more powerful. You know, putting the ball on a hash mark is just putting everybody in the smaller area of the field. And we're not playing, you know, outside the numbers to the field. I think putting the ball in the middle of the field, more like in the NFL, opens up the entire game."

Football is steeped in history

Up front I have doubts that a sport of such prominence in American history is headed in the right direction. Great players allowed the sport to grow into a major industry at both the college and professional level. When everything is based solely on sports betting that is in effect slapping these great players in the face. It is doing the same to loyal fans who watch football for the love of the game.

Look at our board. There is little conversation of the game that doesn't relate to the spread, the odds or the over-under. Football is strictly for degenerate gamblers. Legalize sports betting everywhere, let people lose everything they own betting sports. Casino's don't get as grandiose as they are by losing money. The new economy is sick. That's just one Bulls-Bucs true fan's opinion.

I've heard all the prohibition arguments and I don't see them as honest. That's all I have to say on the matter.

GO BULLS !!!!! GO BUCS !!!!!
