In June the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved moving the three-point line, in women's basketball, to the NCAA men’s/FIBA distance of 22 feet, 1 and 3/4 inches from the center of the basket to the outside edge of the three-point field-goal line and 21 feet, 7 and 7/8 inches in the corners.
Rationale: To reduce physicality and promote freedom of movement by increasing the spacing of players on the playing court.
The women's three point line on the Yuengling Center court was removed earlier this fall. Unfortunately, you could still see where the line used to be. So, a decision was made to hide the line by painting the area inside the arc (with the exception of the lane).
