Brian Gregory, Scott Wagers and Larry Dixon are hard at work calling, texting and having Zoom meetings with players the staff has targeted. That is according to players in the transfer portal and JuCo players I've communicated with plus a few different sources.

When USF released its statement on "troubling concerns that have been reported involving a member of our men’s basketball coaching staff," the statement did not mention Tom Herrion by name but did mention that "the involved staff member has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of that review." None of the JuCo players or players in the transfer portal that USF is recruiting has mentioned Tom Herrion as their lead recruiter.

We continue to expect a commitment from University of Denver wing Sam Hines Jr. to commit to the Bulls before the weekend is over, if not today.

BullsInsder.com was told that Gregory and Dixon are at the office as late as 11 p.m. some nights talking to players they've targeted across the country. So, clearly, CBG has been given the green light to recruit kids.

Friday morning on 620 WDAE during the Ronnie and TKras show, we learned that the independent review of the USF MBB program is not completed. USF V.P. of Athletics Michael Kelly was interviewed, via phone, and was asked "Will changes, inevitably be made or is it just based on what the investigation reveals?"

Kelly replied "That's the stuff we'll have to talk about when the investigation comes to good closure, guys, but obviously it was a tough season on the court, particularly after a long, long covid break, and now we prepare in terms of recruiting and getting ready for next year.

In other news, BullsInsider.com has learned that the NCAA is projecting for full capacity fan attendance for the 2021 fall and winter sports season. That includes the upcoming football football season and the 2021-22 basketball season. There may be a ramp up for football.

Obviously, could vary across the country based on decisions by local authorities like the Hillsborough County Health Department in the case of USF.
