The Bulls dropped the game 7 to 5, but gave some fight from innings 4-6 to come back, after falling behind quickly 6-1. What doomed them was poor starting pitching by Labozetta and also some key errors that extended JU's 5 run 3rd inning. The worst was when SS Coco Montes fielded a ground ball with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs, took his time to only rifle the ball into the ground and make it uncatchable for the 1st baseman. Also, Chatfield dropped a ball near the left field wall with 2 runners on base.

On the flip side, the hitters are very impressive for USF. Some tall powerful lefty hitters. They will do damage in the conference.

Starting pitcher Labozetta only threw around 88 with a stiff breeze behind him. The JU hitters were all over his pitches. He had little movement. The relief pitcher(Andrew Perez) for USF was much better in the game and seemed to have more of a live arm and movement.

It was a tough turnaournd game for the Bulls as they had to take a 4 hour bus ride to Jax after playing FSU in Tampa yesterday.

Seems to me the Bulls will have to win with offense all year. But again, the hitters look impressive and I can see them catching fire this year. They are worth going out to the park to watch them. Could be some big leaguers in this group. Maglich and Chatfield look like studs at the plate.

Scouts from 3 major league teams were at the game (Brewers, Cubs and some other team)
