TAMPA, OCT. 28, 2024 – The American Athletic Conference announced today that South Florida football’s Homecoming clash with Navy on Sat., Nov. 9 will kick off at noon and be broadcast on ESPN2.
The game will also serve as the program’s annual Salute to Service game and will mark the Bulls’ second-straight appearance on ESPN2 and fifth appearance in the first nine games on an ESPN linear network.
The Bulls and Midshipmen will be meeting for the fifth time with the series tied at 2-2. USF posted a 44-30, come-from-behind win at Navy last year, marking the program’s first conference road win since 2019.
The Bulls’ final regular-season contest at Rice has also been set for Sat., Nov. 30 with the kickoff time and broadcast arrangements still to be announced. USF’s remaining home game vs. Tulsa on Sat., Nov. 23 will also have its kick time and broadcast arrangements announced at a later date.
USF Homecoming week and the groundbreaking for USF’s new on-campus stadium and operations center were both moved from their original dates due to the impacts of Hurricane Milton. The stadium groundbreaking will take place on Fri., Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. just north of the Porter Family Indoor Performance Facility located on the east end of the Tampa campus on Sycamore Road.
Induction ceremonies for the USF Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will also be held on Fri., Nov. 8 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Muma Basketball Practice Facility, located adjacent to the Yuengling Center on campus. The four newest members of the Hall of Fame to be inducted will be baseball coach Eddie Cardieri (1986-2006), Jeff Cunningham (men’s soccer, 1994-97), Matt Grothe (football, 2004-09) and Chase Koepka (men’s golf, 2012-16).
