Bulls and Irish met in the 2020 season in the first of a three-game series;

Teams will meet in Tampa in 2029 and in South Bend in 2031

TAMPA, APRIL 5, 2021
– USF and Notre Dame have scheduled dates for the two remaining games in the three-game series that began in South Bend in the 2020 season.

The Bulls and Irish will meet in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sat., Sept. 15, 2029 and the Bulls will return to Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend on Sat., Sept. 13, 2031.

The teams met for the second time in series history in the 2020 season, with the No. 7-ranked Irish taking a 52-0 victory on their way to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the College Football Playoff. Their only two losses on the year came to No. 3 Clemson in the AAC title game and to eventual national champion Alabama in the CFP semifinal.

The Irish victory in 2020 evened the all-time series at 1-1, as Notre Dame avenged a 23-20 Bulls’ victory over the then No. 16-ranked Irish in South Bend to start the 2011 season.

USF’s non-conference schedules are full for the next seven campaigns through the 2027 season. The Bulls’ future opponents in the next 12 seasons, through 2031, include Alabama (3 games), Boise State (2 games), BYU (3 games), Florida (3 games), Louisville (3 games), Miami (3 games), Notre Dame (2 games) and North Carolina State (2 games).

USF will open the 2021 campaign with a Thursday night, primetime contest at North Carolina State on Sept. 2 before returning to Tampa to face Florida (Sept. 11) and Florida A&M (Sept. 18) in Raymond James Stadium and then a final non-conference game at BYU (Sept. 24).

New season ticket sales began March 1. Fans can secure seats for the 2021 season by calling or texting 1-800-GoBulls or by visiting USFBULLSTIX.com.
