Northwestern was Charlie Strong's most successful high school in state, by talent and by sheer numbers. No less than five players committed to Strong-led Louisville during his tenure there. Obviously Teddy Bridgewater and 4 star Eli Rogers (2011) were the main pulls from MNW, but it also brought him four star WR Michael Lee Harris and RB Corvin Lamb in 2010. The proverbial two-for-one. Strong's history is full of two-for-ones while he was at UL. Jermaine Reve was a safety that came to UL when Teddy did. That's five from MNW, by far his most heavily recruited school.
Other school in-state where there we more than one commit from are Miami Norland, Homestead, Miami Southridge, Miami Central, Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie), Northeast (Ft. Lauderdale), and Miami Palmetto.
To give you an idea of how vested Charlie Strong is in the state of Florida, at this date, there have been 32 high schools in the three full years from 2010-2012, and two partial years. His first partial class was 2009 where he had less than two months to save a class, and his last partial class before leaving for Texas was the 2013 class.
Of interest, Strong began at Louisville on Dec 9, 2009, only two days earlier than his new beginnings with USF (Dec. 11, 2016).
