Back in April I reported that USF did a virtual in-home visit with Seffner Christian shooting guard Mike Trigg. Unfortunately I couldn’t get Mike or his dad to respond to my texts or take my calls. Which is odd, because I felt that I had developed a good relationship with both of them. It is also typically a bad sign when a recruit and/or his parents don’t respond to a reporter who covers a particular team.
On the heels of that, a reliable source tells me that Florida State is in a good position with Trigg and his dad. The source said that Trigg’s father is “all about Power Five Conference schools, particularly any school that will let his son play basketball.”
