Jamir Chaplin will almost certainly use the extra year granted to college athletes who played during during the COVID pandemic, a source with knowledge of Chaplin's thinking told BullsInsider.com.

Chaplin is the Bulls fourth leading scorer this season at 7.8 points per game.

It won't be until after the season that Chaplin makes a decision, but the Bulls wing will give his options -- return to USF for a fifth season or use his fifth season elsewhere -- thorough consideration.

We do not expect to hear more about this until the Bulls season is over.

It's worth noting that coaches have to offer players the opportunity to stick around for a fifth season; it's not an automatic right.

Having said that we expect the staff to offer Chaplin the opportunity to play his super senior season with the Bulls.
