USF has just started recruiting three-star point guard Drue Drinnon of Commerce, Ga.

Brian Gregory offered Drinnon when he was at Georgia Tech and assistant coach Chad Dollar was recruiting Drinnon while he was at Auburn. USF has not offered yet.

The 6-foot-1 Drinnon played on the Nike EYBL circuit for Southern Stampede, Drinnon averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 0.8 steals per game, in eight games per Krossover.com. Southern Stampede did not qualify for the Peach Jam.

Drinnon is transferring from Pebblebrook in Georgia to University School in Fort Lauderdale.

I saw Drinnon play last summer at Florida's team camp. He needs to add a lot of strength but I like his upside.

**UPDATE: Drinnon just text me to say USF offered two months ago. I have not been able to confirm that with his coach yet.

Today, I confirmed that USF did in fact offer Drinnon.
