According to a source, four-star Calvary Christian (Ft. Lauderdale) wing Carl Cherenfant will take an official visit to USF Sept. 12-14 (Mon-Wed). Bulls assistant Louis Rowe is leading the charge to land Cherenfant who took an official visit to UCF Sept. 1-3.

Cherenfant also took OVs to Kansas State (Feb) and Memphis (March). Kansas State was not on his list when Cherenfant released his list a month ago. You can read about his top-7 schools HERE.

In addition to Cherenfant and his family coming to Tampa next week, I'm told Rowe is going to Calvary Christian on Friday to see Cherenfant, the first day of the Recruiting Period. During the Recruiting Period authorized staff may make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations (read: home visits, school visits and watching HS players or their entire team workout).

A source told me that Rowe is also expected at Westminster Academy on Friday to see 6-foot-10, 230-pound big man Jaylen Carey.

It is a mystery to me why Carey isn't rated a three-star prospect. Imo, he is one of the 30 best prospects in Florida. Including IMG and Montverde Academy prospects.
