USF held Zoom meetings with the following 2022 prospects this week:
Also here are some team nuggets:
On Yetna...
One source told me that Yetna is still experiencing a lot of pain. A second source told me that Yetna is doing well, coming along nicely. First source says it will be 6-7 weeks before Yetna is back on the court. Second source had no idea on a timetable.
On non-conference games...
The only thing sources knew for sure is that USF still expects to play LSU in Atlanta and that Colorado has bailed on the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Event organizers are scrambling to replace them to hold onto the event.
One source said "I've been doing this a long time and haven't seen anything like it." He said everything is "so fluid" from day-to-day.
It seems that without being able to pay $75k-$85k for a guarantee game, low and mid major programs are trying to schedule guarantee games closer to their school. That way they can arrive on game day, play and return to school that night. Zero, hotel accommodations expense and one less day of meal expenses.
Other offers: Alabama, Florida (Zoom this wk),
Iowa State, St. John's & Stetson
Other offers: Alabama, Hofstra & Stetson
Other offers: Florida (offered Wednesday),
FAU & Stetson (USF was Udeh's first offer)
Other offers: FGCU, SMU & Stetson
