It will be interesting to see if this becomes a trend and how it impacts athletics, as most Presidents including all in the SEC have said that if students do not return to campus neither will sports.
It would not surprise me to see talk of a a shortened season pick up, where OOC games are postponed or cancelled outright. This would provide at least an extra month to see where this COVID-19 situation is leading us. There are fears of another strong flu season this Fall and another wave of C-19 with no vaccine in sight. Don't believe the b..s from the White House that we are close to a vaccine. Plus even if we were close, it will take months to test, scale up production and immunize the entire country...and then hope for the best. Big Pharma in the US has ignored vaccine manufacturing for decades so the infrastructure is not there to suddenly immunize an entire country.
