South Florida is going to sign a really small class, the Bulls have 12 spots left for 2017. So everything makes a little more sense after I talked with some of my peeps. Lot of focus on 2018 recruiting as well because that will be the first big class in two years for USF.

Here is how they break down of how the class looks as of today:

QB (0)- if someone leaves they could take Dekovin Cann or Denzel Houston. Have four on the roster and zero are seniors.

RB (1)- Aiming high here with Malik Davis and A.J. Davis at the top of the wishlist. I know Malik is big on the staff, AJ may end up at Clemson though. Still going to keep recruiting Isaiah Miller and some other committed RBs as well. I'd expect Marlon Mack to be back for his senior year so I can't see them taking more than one.

WR (2)- So they have Phillips to fill the slot spot and they want one more more traditional WR so that is why some offers are rolling out like Carmoni Green.

TE (1)- USF leads for Michael Ziemba, trying to get Tre McKitty though.

OL (4)- This will be the toughest task in the class and where they are struggling to get some headway. Lots of names on the board, but none that would commit right now that would wow anyone. They want some guys that compete right away and would like one spot for a JUCO. OL class so far hasn't been impressive in Florida for 2017 in my eyes, they may have to broaden the search some.

DL (3)- Gonna be some sort of mix of DTs and DEs, still working on Antwaun Owens who committed to UCF, but likes USF a lot. CWT and CSK will stay on Zachery Carter just in case at SDE, he would be the one Craig Watts type guy for this class if they could flip him. The rush end spot, they could go get any of four guys right now, I think they are waiting on some bigger fish at that spot.

LB (1-2) This depends on numbers and attrition. Decalon Brooks is the bigger fish in play in this group.

CB (1) Randall Haynie and Zamari Maxwell are the two guys who USF has a good shot with that I would say are definite takes. Haynie is a Vandy lean now, Maxwell is a ISU lean, but Mason is in trouble at Vandy and kids are often turned off by Iowa State and there are a lot of unknowns with Campbell there as the new HC. Could probably just get Bentlee Sanders or Darrian McNeal if they just wanted a commit today.

S (0-1) USF has loaded up some at safety in the last few cycles just like CB, could pass on this position or see what the options look like in the fall.
