According to a USF Athletic Dept. source, Bayron Matos is currently on a basketball scholarship and will remain on that scholarship for the rest of the year. He will count against the basketball team's 13-scholarship limit through Dec. 31, 2022. As of January 1, 2023 Matos would be a walk-on if he chooses to continue to play basketball.
