Oldsmar Christian 2018 point guard Elijah Weaver picked up an offer from USF today. It was Weaver's second in-state offer in two days -- Florida offered Weaver on Wednesday. Weaver also holds offers from Florida International and Nebraska.
This will be Weaver's first season at Oldsmar Christian. He formerly attended Florida Air Academy in Melbourne. The school, now known as Florida Prep, eliminated it's basketball program this past spring. It was a move that wasn't brought on by lack of success. The program reached the 3A regional finals each of the past two seasons, losing to Sagemont both times, and was returning several Division I caliber players who have since transferred to schools like Oldsmar, Montverde Academy and The Rock.
Weaver played for adidas sponsored Team M.O.A.M. this past travel season.
