Could happen, but probably not.
USF is currently located somewhere in the "group of five", a hodgepodge of the five conferences who aren't considered one of the power five (P5) conferences. Currently one of the group of five - right now probably being Navy - are the odds on favorite to play in either the Fiesta or Rose Bowl. The glitch in Navy's armament is that if the USF Bulls can win over a not so impressive 0-11 UCF this coming Thursday, and get some help from UCONN in their game against Temple, the Bulls would then sit pretty with another potential match up with Navy, or maybe Houston.
The above New Years Six game at either the Fiesta or Rose Bowl is a rather rare possibility, but on the surface with green and gold sunglasses on, it's a possibility. What could very well happen, if all things USF Bulls comes true, is a distinct possibility of being the group of five representative in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl.
The below read show just how far USF has come this year in this GO5 before the year preview.
