I'm a little late on this one but on Friday it was announced that Bishop McLaughlin Catholic (Spring Hill, FL) has hired Derrick Sharp from H.W. Blake HS in Tampa. Additionally, it was announced that four-star c/o 2022 guard Emanuel Sharp will be transferring from Blake HS to Bishop McLaughlin.
But wait, there's more.
Over the weekend it was announced that Sickles c/o 2022 small forward Dillon Mitchell will also be transferring to Bishop McLaughlin. Mitchell, who is currently not ranked or rated by Rivals but don't let that fool you. We have not yet expanded the 2022 class player rankings to the full 150 prospects, we're at 75, but once we do I expect Dillon to be inside the Rivals150.
USF has offered both players.
Btw, Bishop McLaughlin was 2-22 in the 2019-20 season so a coaching change was not that much of a surprise. Adding players with the skills and talent of Sharp and Mitchell to Bishop McLaughlin will send a pretty big shock wave through 3A District 5.
