SMU looks like the best team in the AAC to me. Their big men are not skinny, they are built like football players. They hit the boards like crazed dogs and they play solid D. Coach Bartow has his hands full just to avoid a blow out. I saw the Ponies against Memphis and then I saw Memphis against UCONN. The AAC has 6 teams that are NCAA worthy. SMU, Memphis, Cincy, UCF, Houston and Temple.
UCF is scary with Fall in the middle. He reminds me of Manute Bole, a real defensive gem. He's improved a lot since last year.
Our youngsters are getting ready to see what the AAC is all about. UCONN has lost 3 of their top 5 signing class to injury. They may find a way to get back in the tournament discussion, but not playing like they did tonight.
