USF Football Post-Game Notes
at Cincinnati, Oct. 1, 2016

TEAM
USF moved to 3-1 in American Athletic Conference openers and 4-0
in AAC road openers.

USF won its fifth straight conference game, dating to last season,
extending its program record of consecutive victories in conference
games.

Overall, USF has won 11 of its last 14 games.

USF moved to 6-8 all-time against Cincinnati and 3-1 under Coach
Willie Taggart.

For the second time in program history, USF has won three consecutive
road games in conference play. The Bulls finished last season
with AAC victories at East Carolina (22-17) and UCF (44-3).

USF won three consecutive Conference USA road games, beating East
Carolina (38-37, two OTs) and Memphis (21-16) to close 2003, then
opened the 2004 league season USF extended its program record with its ninth straight game scoring
at least 35 points.

It was USF’s ninth straight game with at least 450 total yards.

For the 10th straight game — and 13th in the past 14 games — USF
surpassed the 200-yard rushing mark with 226 yards at Cincinnati.

USF is 13-4 under Coach Willie Taggart when surpassing the 200-
yard rushing mark (and 5-20 when held below 200 yards rushing).

USF’s defense had four turnovers, giving the Bulls 12 for the season.

USF entered the game ranked 24th nationally for most turnovers
gained.

OFFENSE

RB Marlon Mack, who had 20 rushes for 118 yards and two
touchdowns, became USF’s all-time career rushing leader. Mack
has 2,755 career rushing yards, passing Andre Hall (2,731 yards in
2004-05) for the top spot on USF’s list. Mack moved into 21st place
on the state of Florida’s all-time career list for Football Bowl Subdivision
rushers.

Mack rushed for two touchdowns, giving him 23 for his career. That
ties Mack for third place on USF’s all-time list (with QB Matt
Grothe, 2006-09, and RB Mike Ford, 2007-09). Former QB B.J.
Daniels (2008-12) is the career leader with 25.

Mack had his 15th career 100-yard rushing game, extending his USF
record. Hall had 12 in his two seasons (2004-05).

RB D’Ernest Johnson has scored a touchdown in each of USF’s
five games this season. Johnson tied for this season’s team high in

return).

WR Rodney Adams also has seven touchdowns this season.

on USF’s career rushing chart (1,549 yards).

Flowers had two rushing touchdowns, giving him a career 15 and
pulling him to the brink of USF’s all-time top 10 (RBs Clenton
Crossley and Otis Dixon are tied for ninth with 17 each).

Flowers completed 16 of 26 passes for 196 yards, giving him a career
