I hate to admit it, but I let my alligator mouth overload my tadpole ass concerning Navy's Fullbacks. Those two guys are beasts. They are both seniors and they have both been instrumental in Navy's success since arriving on campus. Chris Swain (6'1" 245 lbs) is 95/451 @ 4.7 per carry with 4 TDs and Quenton Ezell (6'1" 253 lbs) is 36/215 @ 6.0 per carry with 5 TDs. Those two guys are athletes and they pack a load. Combined they have rushed for 666 yards. That is the mark of the beast isn't it?
I said the key to stopping Navy is to stop the FB first of all and it is. I didn't realize what physical specimens those two guys were though. Steverino made the point that Navy's line will be the smallest we have faced which is true, but dynamite comes in small packages. No defensive player likes the chop block, but Navy has done it so effectively that I think they have only had 4 penalties all year for illegal chop blocks. That my friends is a well oiled machine !!! The success of our defense hinges on how well we stop their FBs. Combined they average 5 yards a carry. That is a first down every 2 carries. That is winning football !!! Navy's FBs are used like ballbearings fired out of a slingshot. They are past you before you know what has happened and they are hard to bring down. They are the howitzers that soften up the beach head and then Reynolds does his slice and dice routine. NASTY BUSINESS !!!!!
Navy's offense has taken over games and as UCONN's Bob Diaco has said, you have to score each time you get the ball, because Navy won't give it back to you once they get it. That's a hell of a way to treat a guest in your house isn't it? LOL.
GO BULLS !!!!!
If the Bulls can eke out a 1 point win, we have ourselves a football team guys.
