The defense looked much better until the last 6 minutes Saturday.
Don't know how we do the rest of the year but right now the improvement from 2 years ago is mind boggling.
2022: Defense gave up 9.03 yards per pass attempt; 6.12 yards per rush; and, an average of 7.43 yards per play.
2023: Defense gave up 8.06 yards per pass attempt; 4.06 yards per rush; and, an average of 6.07 yards per play. If you take out Syracuse it's 8.18/4.41/6.34.
2024 through 2 games: Defense gave up 5.37 yards per pass attempt; 2.97 yards per rush; and, an average of 3.97 yards per play. Currently sitting at 16th in the country in yards per play allowed.
Bama averaged a total of 5.77 yards per play, but up to the last 3 possessions it was 4.26.
