Marlon went to the Colts as the last player selected in the 4th round at pick 143 and Rodney went to the Vikings with the 170th pick in the 5th round. The 4th round has more guaranteed money than the 5th round does. The contracts are at $2,776,729 for the slot 143 and $2,602,635 for slot 170.
The 4th round guarantees more money. The signing bonus is guaranteed and between 2 and 4 years of the salary. The 5th round guarantees the signing bonus, but any salary can only be earned by making the team if I understand things right.
In the case of these two guys I think they both make their respective teams. The total 4 year contacts are relatively close to each other.
