I've talked a lot about CCS using his relationships in TX to help in recruiting. And, to my surprise, I've heard mostly negative feedback from USF fans. I looked back to '13 though, and the highest rated class in that time? 41. That's, I'm assuming, utilizing the plan that most that have knocked me are suggesting. Poach a few from the Big 3. Try to keep a few from the OOS P5s. And beat out UCF, FIU, and FAU for the "best of the rest" guys. Well, with 3+ years of building relationships with some TX coaches and kids. At least 2 coaches on your staff that know the TX recruiting landscape(Gilbert/Mattox recruited TX at Tulsa). Why not? Maybe some think I'm talking about the same kind of recruits he got at UT? I'm not. But those kids considering UH,SMU,RICE,UTSA,UTEP,TXST? HELL YES USF can steal some of those! You mean you guys didn't see anything that you liked when you played UH or SMU? 5-6, 6-8 kids a year? These are 3*, high 3*, and maybe even an occasional 4* who just wants a change of scenery from what everyone else is doing. Florida has tons of talent, I know. So does Texas though. And with 25 scholarships a year, you can get talent from many different places.. Just felt I needed to clarify my take. If consistently competing for NY6 is the plan, the talent level HAS to improve some. And a handful of TX, LA, GA added to what comes from FL?? Maybe even the CFP becomes a possibility?
