BYU is an FBS independent along with only Army and Notre Dame this year. I guess BYU had to scramble to get games lined up after leaving the Mountain West. BYU scheduled 4 old Mountain West opponents in Boise State (whom they defeated 35-24 earlier in the season), they play San Jose State on 11/6, Fresno State on 11/21 at home and they play at Utah State on 11/28.
It was interesting that BYU scheduled 3 home games with AAC opponents back to back to back. BYU beat UCONN 30-13 on 10/2. BYU held a 13-10 lead until the 12 minute mark of the 4th quarter, when they scored 2 TDs and kicked a field goal with a 27-13 lead with 26 seconds left on the clock.
BYU has 2 more home games with AAC opponents, ECU on 10/10 and Cincy on 10/16. My feeling is the latter 2 AAC teams will fare better because both have big O-lines and well designed offenses.
It's almost like an expansion test for the Big 12 isn't it?
GO BULLS !!!!!
