The AAC started off the season under Friday night lights, coming out with a 1-3 record. No question that SMU was badly overmatched in their 56-21 loss to the Baylor Bears. Duke hammered Tulane 37-7 and of course the shocker was FIU over UCF 15-14.

The sole conference win was a UCONN 20 Villanova 15. This win is better than many may think. Nova is favored to win the Colonial Athletic Association this year after going 11-3 (7-1) in 2014. Nova made it to the quarter finals of the FCS playoffs last year and ended their season ranked #7 in the final FCS poll. While not a huge victory it was at least a victory against a respected foe.

Saturday's games are Colgate @ Navy, Alabama A&M @ Cincy, Towson @ ECU, Tenn Tech @ Houston, Missouri State @ Memphis, Penn State @ Temple, FAU @ Tulsa and FAMU @ YOUR USF BULLS !!!!!

Other than all Bulls fans being on edge by not knowing exactly what to expect from our 2015 team in their home opener, the two games of the most interest to the AAC have to be Penn State @ Temple and FAU @ Tulsa.

A Temple win over their PA big brother would be huge for the conference, it would also let everyone else in the AAC know that Temple is as good as advertised. If the Owls lose, but can keep the score close it will be good for the AAC as well, but not nearly as good as a win.

Tulsa traveled to FAU last season and was routed 50-21. FAU went 3-9 last year, but lost 3 games by a total of 5 points. They were bludgeoned by Nebraska (55-7) and Alabama (41-0) in their first 2 games of 2014. FAU is a 4 point underdog to Tulsa and it should be pay back time for the Golden Hurricanes.

Beat FAMU !!

GO BULLS !!!!!
