There are two AAC teams playing Independents this week. Navy is at Notre Dame and BYU is at Cincy. The conference matchups should be interesting.
Friday November 4
Temple (5-2) (4-1) @ UCONN (3-6) (1-5) 7:00 PM ESPN2
Saturday November 5
Navy (5-2) (4-1) @ Notre Dame (3-5) 11:30 AM CBS
BYU (4-4) @ Cincy (4-4) (1-4) 3:30 PM CBSSN
Memphis (5-3) (2-2) @ SMU (4-4) (2-2) 4:00 PM ESPNEWS
Tulane (3-5) (0-4) @ UCF (4-4) (2-2) 5:00 PM ESPN3
ECU (3-5) (1-3) @ Tulsa (6-2) (4-1)
BYE: USF (7-2) (4-1), Houston (7-2) (4-2)
Temple @ UCONN is maybe the Bulls best chance to regain first place. The game is at UCONN and UCONN is a big physical team that may match up better with Temple than Cincy did. For the Huskies to win it will have to be a low scoring defensive struggle.
Memphis @ SMU will be interesting, because Memphis is a solid enough team to test SMU's winning streak. Coach Morris seems to be moving the Ponies up the food chain and Memphis is hungry after the loss to Tulsa. The Bulls play both teams on the road on consecutive weekends in November.
ECU @ Tulsa is another interesting game because we beat ECU 38-22 and Tulsa is beating everyone. The Golden Hurricane's only conference loss was a 38-31 loss to Houston. They also got blown out in week 2 by Ohio State 48-3. OUCH !! Both teams can put up numbers offensively, but their defenses give up too many points. This game could be a shootout because ECU came alive offensively last week.
Tulane @ UCF is interesting because Tulane has a pretty good defense and so does UCF. UCF has a more dynamic offense and I think the Knights get the W. I'll be watching because USF has to play them @ the Ray Jay in the regular season finale. Frost has done better than everyone thought in his first year at the helm.
