Back and test driving my New Year's Resolution of being a better USF fan - we'll see how that goes.

Post Season Projections:
  • NCAAT Bound - Florida Atlantic (NET #6) with 3 Quad 1 wins this year and Memphis (NET #38) with 2 Quad 1 wins
  • NIT Bound - SMU (NET #51), but like most seasons have a soft non-conference schedule and no Quad 1 wins (note: 12 of the 32 NIT invites will go to the P5+Big East beginning this year, leaving only 20 invites for the other 26 conferences)
  • Staying Home - everyone else is outside the Top 90 in NET and are a combined 2-29 in Quad 1 and 2 games
Way-to-Early All Conference Team
First Team

  • Kevin Cross, Tulane (F) - Player of the Year
  • David Jones, Memphis (F)
  • Brandon Johnson, ECU (F)
  • Johnell Davis, FAU (G)
  • RJ Felton, ECU (G)
Second Team
  • Hysier Miller, Temple (G)
  • Colby Rogers, Wichita State (G)
  • PJ Haggerty, Tulsa (G)
  • Travis Eeve, Rice (G)
  • Vadislov Golden, FAU (C)
USF Notes: The Bulls rank 8th in the AAC in NET at #151...USF ranks 4th in the American at 76,9 points per game...Selton Miguel ranks 16th in the AAC in scoring with 14.3 ppg and 1st in 3pt field goal percentage at 47.8% (the rest of the team is shooting 25.8%)...Jayden Reid ranks 1st in the AAC is assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.3:1...USF's first 3 conference games are against teams with a worse NET ranking - Temple (#200), at UAB (#212) and Rice (#213)...The Bulls have 9 players averaging between 15 and 28 minutes per game....USF ranks 1st in the AAC in turnover margin at 4.5 per game and 2nd in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.3:1...USF's victory against Florida State was their first against an ACC team since beating Virginia on 11/16/09 (0-8 against ACC teams since then).
