...into the program is 6-foot-8, 225 pound VCU forward Sean Mobley (that's the HT/WT the VCU website lists for him).
I don't see Mobley as a game changer at USF, but he would be a nice piece who would come off of the bench and give solid minutes at power forward. Mobley averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds over his two seasons at VCU, playing for a head coach who did not recruit him. He started 35 of the 63 games in which he played. Mobley started each of VCU’s final 20 games (23 total) this past season averaging 19.9 minutes in those games.
He helped lead Montverde Academy to a 26-2 record and the semifinals of the Dicks Sporting Goods High School Nationals as a junior.
I wrote about Mobley back in October 2016. To read that click HERE.
USF is at the scholarship limit of 13 players, however my understanding is that his family is willing to pay for Sean to attend USF for one year as a preferred walk-on if he is on scholarship after that.
Mobley picked VCU after receiving offers from N.C. State, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Dayton.
More info on this as I get it.
