Thursday night I spoke with three-star shooting guard Roger McFarlane of University School in Ft. Lauderdale. McFarlane said he was about to leave and head to Tampa with an AAU coach. He said they were going to stay overnight and then take an unofficial visit to USF on Friday which included watching the team practice.
Currently ranked the No. 144 ranked prospect in the 2020 class, McFarlane averaged 10.2 points per game in 15 Under Armour Association games for Team Thad's 16U team.
According to Synergy Sports Technology stats, McFarlane was his team's second leading rebounder, made 43.8 percent of his field goals (41.2 percent beyond the arc).
McFarlane, who relocated to Florida from Memphis, TN, lists offers from Columbia and Tennessee Tech. McFarlane also said that he may take unofficials to UF and UCF this weekend.
McFarlane said he'd let me know when he was on campus. From the sounds of it I'm expecting late morning.
