I would like to address the subject of respect for your opponents. USF started off like a ball of fire in both football and basketball. Our fans let this go to their heads. The best football coach in school history was fired over a minor incident which was overblown by effete snobs who knew nothing about football. It was like the death penalty for a parking ticket imo. Anyone who sides with those two is wrong imo.

The six new conference members are not a step down for USF. They are a challenge. These teams with the exception of UTSA have their own on campus football stadiums to begin with. 1. Charlotte's Richardson Stadium currently seats 15,314 but is expandable to 40k plus 24 luxury boxes 2. FAU Stadium in Boca Raton seats 29,571. FAU was offered a 6M a year naming rights deal from GEO, an investor and operater of prisons. The FAU game announcer Ken Lavicka dubbed the Stadium Owlcatrez. The public went into a furor over it and the President and AD nixed the deal. 3. North Texas' Apogee Stadium seats 30,850 and is expandable 4. Rice Stadium seat 47,100 and is expandable to 59K. UAB's Protective Life Stadium seats 47,100. UTSA's Journey Stadium seats 64,000. Journey Stadium was built in 1993 as the Alamo Dome. UTSA has broken ground for a 35,000 seat OCS. Since SanAntonio never got the NFL team they built the Alamo Dome for, at least the Roadrunners can make it look like their home field. The OCS will improve the football programs cash flow and is expandable.

In basketball the Bulls have a lot of experience against Charlotte and UAB. The Bulls have played the 49ers 54 times and hold a 29-25 edge over the 49ers in the series. The Bulls have played the Blazers 59 times and the Blazers hold a 38-21 edge over the Bulls in the series.

Comparing USF to the six newbies:

USF football 2021: 2-10 (1-7) 2022: 1-10 (0-7) Cum: 3-20 (1-14) Coach Jeff Scott Stadium: Ray Jay 64,000
USF Basketball 2021: 8-23 (3-15) 2022: 0-4 (0-0) Cum: 8-19 (3-15) Coach Brian Gregory Yuengling Ctr 12,499
