This afternoon Oak Ride (Orlando) was defeated in OT in a FHSAA 7A semifinal in Lakeland, FL. I was just told that 2021 wing Michael James sustained an injury during the game, was unable to take the court during overtime and will have a MRI on Monday.
He played every minute of regulation scoring a game high 27 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting (4-of-6 three-point shooting). James also made 7-of-8 free throws, had four rebounds, one steal and four turnovers.
James, who has been on USF's campus at least six times to watch the Bulls play, practice or participate in a camp, is a priority target for USF. Friday Brian Gregory watched him play in a Regional Final.
