Marvel Allen might be on the verge of asking Georgetown for a release from his NLI.
The new Georgetown staff doesn't appear to be sold on Allen. The assistant who recruited him to both LSU and Georgetown is now at Florida State but FSU has never seemed interested in Allen and, in fact, never offered him.
Allen spent this past season at Montverde Academy after attending Calvary Christian Academy (Ft. Lauderdale). He is a strong, athletic scoring guard, who is best when in the midrange and at getting to the rim. His perimeter shooting needs improvement. Allen is a very good on-ball defender. He's got some dog in him.
Will CAAR get involved if Allen gets his release?
